As we met at the airport, we discover that we were sharing a flight with the SCEA group made up of Southern Hills Christian College, Swan Christian College, Ellenbrook Christian College and Mundaring Christian College. This group was lead by Paul and Greg Beacham, who began these trips and invited our school along 7 years ago. After saying goodbye to parents and families, we headed through immigration and waited to board our plane.
The flight from Perth to Singapore went smoothly, with a number of the team falling asleep and others sitting back to watch a movie or two... or three. Richmond fell asleep and woke up two and a half hours into the flight and asked, "Why are we still delayed we are going to miss our next flight?"
During our layover in Singapore, we had moment to sit amongst an orchid garden, after which we moved to our gate, where Miss Smoker lead a briefing and the beginning of our journalling experience. Upon finding our gate had changed, we walked back to the other end of the terminal.
The flight to Manila was delayed and saw us waiting on the tarmac for an hour and a half, as they fixed the leaking brakes. The flight to Manila included some turbulence, but we landed safely.
The wait for the bus at the airport was nothing compared to 16km bus ride to KIM that took 4 hours and 10 minutes! This tested the patience of our team and the strength of our bladders. Arriving at KIM, we were met with an amazing feed of bolognese penne, salad and sweet bread.
After debrief, we relaxed by swimming, taking showers and settling for our first night in Manila.
Thank you for all of your prayers for our safe arrival.

Glad to hear you arrived safely! God bless you guys! Love you all x
